Admissions
Woods is open for admissions. As we follow the British curriculum, our academic year begins in September, and we welcome applications from children aged 18 months -8 years for our various age groups (Infants, Toddlers, Nursery and Foundation Stage 1 & 2 , Year 1 & 2 ,and 3).
We encourage families to apply early as spaces are limited. We look forward to welcoming you to the Woods community!
Visit Woods Kindergarten & School
The best way to begin the admissions process is with a visit to our campus. Come and experience the magic of Woods firsthand and learn more about who we are. Our school is a space of wonder and learning, and we invite you to schedule a private tour with our admissions team. This is your chance to see our beautiful campus, feel the unique atmosphere we're cultivating, and connect with the vision behind our early years learning.
We also offer a special Taster Day for your child. This is a chance for your little one to spend time in one of our classrooms and experience a day at Woods. It's a great way to ensure that our school is the perfect fit for your child.

Enquiry
Prospective parents can enquire about enrollment through our website, email, or phone.

Open day / School Tour
Woods offer school tours and open days, allowing families to visit our facilities, meet our staff, and feel the magic firsthand.

Taster day (optional)
Interested families are welcome to book for a taster day for their child will be required to complete an application form, providing information about their child and family.

Registration
Complete our online registration form to share your child's details and start the journey with us. A non-refundable registration fee of KSh 10,000 is required to process your application.

Complete enrolment forms
Submit the formal admission forms—including full questionnaire, medical records, and agree to our Terms & Conditions. Where applicable we also request any previous school reports to help us support your child’s transition.

Offer of admission
If the application is successful, we will extend a formal Letter of Offer. To confirm your child's place at the School, a non-refundable Acceptance Fee of KSh 25,000 is payable upon acceptance.

Finalise enrolment
Tuition fees and a refundable deposit are due in full before each academic term begins. For year groups with limited availability, an advance payment of 20% is required to secure a place; otherwise, payment of the registration and acceptance fees will suffice to hold the spot.

Welcome pack
Once enrolment is complete, you will receive a warm welcome pack containing everything you need for your child’s first day. We look forward to seeing your little explorer in the forest and officially welcoming your family to our community!

Age Appropriateness: Children must meet the age requirements for the class they are applying for.

Alignment with School Philosophy: We invite families who share our values and appreciate our nature-based, holistic educational approach to join our community.

Child's Readiness: We assess the child's readiness for our classes, considering their social, emotional, and cognitive development.

Completion of Application: All required documents must be submitted.

Payment of Fees: Enrollment and tuition fees must be paid according to the school's payment schedule.
Admissions Policy
Waiting Lists

If a year group has reached its capacity, new applicants will be placed on a waiting list. These lists are managed in the order of application. However, siblings of current students are given priority.
Supporting Documents

All applicants should provide copies of their passport or ID.

If the child has attended a previous school, we request a copy of a School Leaving Certificate and the latest academic record.
Medical Form & Documents

Parents are requested to complete a Medical Form to support their child's enrollment as well as a copy of vaccination record.
Additional Educational Support

Woods School welcomes children with mild learning needs and provides various support options. Our approach favours inclusion within the main classroom setting, with any adjustments to activities determined through discussions with parents and teachers.

Parents are asked to inform the school of any known or suspected special needs their child may have prior to enrollment.
Individualised Instruction

At Woods children are in classes with varied abilities. Teachers adapt their instructional methods, activities, and learning goals to meet each child's individual needs. Children may work in small groups within the classroom to facilitate this approach. All children in the same age group work towards the same learning objectives.
