Their expertise spans a wealth of crucial areas, providing invaluable counsel on everything from innovative curriculum development and ensuring emotional wellbeing to ensuring the health and healthy eating habits of our young learners. With such a knowledgeable team of advisors supporting us, we can confidently rely on their exceptional guidance throughout our initial setup and well into the future, ensuring the very best for your children and our school community.
Dr Rosemary Lopokoiyit
We are honoured to have Dr. Rosemary Lopokoiyit join our advisory team at Woods. As a consultant paediatrician with more than 15 years of clinical experience gained across public and private hospitals, Dr. Lopokoiyit is a recognized leader in child health. Her distinguished service as the immediate former National Secretary of the Kenya Paediatric Association (KPA) for four years, coupled with her election to the board of the Kenya Paediatric Research Consortium (KEPRECON) and her co-directorship of the KPA's ECD program, demonstrates her extensive knowledge and dedication. Dr. Lopokoiyit's passion for child health and her active private practice in Nairobi will be instrumental in guiding our school's health protocols.
Harriet Inamdar
Harriet Inamdar is an accomplished educator with a PGCE from the University of Cambridge (2013). Her career began in London, where she served as a Key Stage 2 classroom teacher at St Alban’s Primary School, Camden. She concurrently pursued a Master's in Education at the University of Cambridge, while teaching part-time at St Alban’s.
In 2016, she was appointed Phase Leader and mentor to newly qualified teachers at Ambler Primary School, Islington. Subsequently, she held the position of Assistant Head Teacher and Head of Teaching and Learning at St Augustine’s Primary School, also serving as a school governor. Ms. Inamdar also worked as a teacher coach and later as Assistant Head Teacher and SENCo at St James and St John Primary School, Westminster until relocating to Kenya in 2022. Mrs Inamdar will guide Woods in defining and refining our learning Support Stategies
Martha Wanjiku - Lee
Martha is a counselling psychologist specializing in family therapy, bringing a strong understanding of child development and well-being to Woods. Her direct experience working with young children is significant, having run Twiga Tots Kindergarten from 2013 to 2019. Martha's connection to the Woods community is further strengthened through her role in supporting the homeschooling program from which Woods grew. With a background in Marketing and Public Relations and as a Director of the educational platform Erevuka, Martha offers a valuable perspective informed by both her professional expertise and her practical experience with children.
Heather Cuthbert
Heather Cuthbert is a Nairobi-based nutritional therapist, mother of two, passionate foodie and founder of Heather’s Kitchen, a health-focused café in Village Market. She creates wholesome, and refined sugar-free meals. Heather is also the author of the nuts about nutrition cookbook and a strong advocate for balanced, healthy and delicious eating for children and adults alike. Heather is excited to advise Woods on healthy snack and nutritious lunch options.
